The Reflected World

This is one of those projects that began in a moment of absolute stupidity. A convergence of fate and clumsiness in one of my altruistic fugues. One of the two rivers in my city as a habit of flooding when we have heavy snow packs in the early winter. I spend the spring helping folks sandbag their riverside properties and then wander around taking photos of the flooded parks and playgrounds because I am, in all honestly, a bit of a weirdo. It was on one of those photo trips that I had a literal trip and, while pushing myself out of icy water, caught a reflection of a swing that was the coolest thing I ever saw. From that point forward I became a HUGE fan of what my partner at the time called “Puddle Magic”.
